About :

I am fortunate to do work that I love and care deeply about. For most of my life I have been fascinated by wellness and exploring ways to care for the bodies we experience the world through. My work aims to support you to live your best life possible.

Massage Therapy

I offer a variety of treatments, in sessions ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Arvigo® therapy sessions can help to resolve menstrual and fertility challenges and concerns while restoring balance, flow, and homeostasis to the whole body. Focused 30-minute Scar Tissue Release sessions can offer freedom from the restrictions caused by scarring from injuries, surgeries, and burns. 30-minute Bindegewebsmassage sessions are a very effective treatment for both menstrual cramps and migraines. Myofascial balancing techniques can address a range orthopedic imbalances in the body. Longer sessions may include an integrated blend of techniques to support your unique needs and concerns in the moment, from focused injury treatment to pure blissful relaxation.

With an intuitive touch I specialize in supporting reproductive health through all phases of life, with a special focus around preconception, pregnancy and birth. I offer specialized sessions for reproductive and digestive health and am able to provide a safe space and gentle pacing for clients who have experienced past trauma. Whether you arrive with a specific goal or you simply want support to relax and de-stress, I am happy to be of service to you.

Prenatal Massage and Birth Doula Services

How our children come into the world is important. For a limited number of clients, I am honored to provide birth doula support. A birth doula provides continual care for a mother throughout labor and birth, attending to her emotional and comfort needs. I have extensive training around supporting women's reproductive health through pregnancy and birth, and I have a deep passion for this work. The Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™ and Arvigo® Advanced Pregnancy techniques help to support a mother and her little one from pre-conception through postpartum and beyond. Supporting women and babes through the monumental transition of birth is one of the deepest honors I know in life.

Women’s Health Coaching

In Summer 2021 I will launch a new women’s health coaching program. Combining my background in massage, reproductive care, and birth work with in-depth training through the women’s health coach certification program at the Integrative Women’s Health Institute, this program will feature virtual one-on-one coaching tailored to your unique needs.
Pursuing health is often a winding path. Having personalized support along the way as we navigate the endless stream of information, medical advice, and choices we have in our health care can have a meaningful impact on our day to day well being. Health coaching can support you to make and maintain lifestyle changes, determine each next step in your unique path, identify and take advantage of your resources, and stay accountable to yourself along the way as you move towards your personal life and health goals.

Education

In 2005 I completed a self-designed BA in "Holistic Approaches to Health and Wellness" with a minor in Biology from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University. My undergraduate focus was women's reproductive health from a holistic and cross-cultural perspective, which included a Labor Support course for Birth Doulas at the Seattle Midwifery School. In 2007 I completed the massage program at the Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle, WA. I am NCBTMB certified and a Licensed Massage Practitioner in the state of Washington (#MA 00025166).
I traveled to Belize in early 2012 to study the Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy with Rosita Arvigo, DN. In the spring of 2012 I completed an advanced training in supporting fertility through post-partum in this Mayan tradition and in 2013 I became a certified Arvigo® practitioner. I have a deep respect for these teachings and the ancient lineage of this work, and am honored to carry on this rich tradition in my practice. I have since deepened and expanded my offerings through continuing education in myofascial balancing, visceral manipulation, cranio sacral therapy, and scar tissue release.

Other Interests

When I am not working with clients I am spending time outdoors, dancing, haphazardly growing vegetables, making music, and preparing and enjoying delicious whole foods. As a former circus artist, I continue to produce and support circus events as a co-founder and board member of the Bellingham Circus Guild. “My Circus Valentine,” a show I’ve produced since 2010, has become a beloved Valentine tradition for many.

My clients are dear to me. It is my pleasure and honor to support your growth and healing.
